If you’ve any spare time over the weekend in Birmingham, you might want to pop across to Chamberlain Square (by the Town Hall), where this giant sandpit (”beach” they say) has appeared.The polar bear dispenses ice cream, yum.
A short hop away in Centenary Square there’s a huge roller-disco too.

Editable points of interest map on Google and blog

Andy - who kindly arranged the sponsorship package from Namesco, WordCamp UK 2008’s main sponsor has setup a Google map with some points of interest for visitors to WordCamp UK 2008. The best part is - it’s editable!

The venue for the conference is The Studio, situated right in the heart of Birmingham City Centre with direct road links to the main motorways, an International airport and just 5 minutes walk from the central train stations. It provides an ideal central location for visitors from around the UK and further afield.
